The Shakespeare Partners Pink Tiger Day 2016

May 24, 2016

Saturday saw the running of our 6th Annual Pink Tiger Day in support of The McGrath Foundation. A record crowd of over 200 ladies gathered in our “Pink Marquee” and enjoyed sensational food, champagne, wine and entertainment throughout the day, while also watching our League team don the famous Pink Tiger jumpers for their game against CBC Fremantle.

The day raised an amazing $41,000 and continues to be the largest single fundraiser for the McGrath Foundation by a community sporting club, Australia wide. Over the past 6 years the Pink Tiger Day has now raised more than $190,000!

Our special guest was Karen Trigg who shared her experiences as a McGrath Foundation Breast care nurse and our sensational auctioneer, Tiny Holly, then cranked up the fundraising side of the day with his special brand of humour. The after party kicked off with leading Perth band, Daren Reid and The Soul City Groove pumping out some brilliant tunes and then Mad Dog DJ’s Tails and Cutts saw the night out.

Many thanks to our Major sponsor, Shakespeare Partners and to all of our Corporate Sponsors, most who have been with us since day one: The Events Mill, Matisse Beach Club, Phoenix Insurance Brokers, SOCO Real Estate, Cottesloe Constructions, The Higham Family, Roadbend Jaguar, Habitat Finance Brokers, PTT WA, Rhino Water Tanks, Cooling Bros, Homesafe Pet ID, Food by Ros, Steadfast, Fine Tune Fitness and Mr Walker restaurant.

Also thanks to everyone who made a donation towards the auction and raffle, or provided their services for free on the day. (There is literally dozens of you!!).

The club would also like to thank all of the organizing committee (Mark Hayter, Jesse Wilson, Josie Cooper & Sue Rickleman) and all volunteers (particularly the Colt’s boys) whose amazing efforts culminated in a sensational day and resulted in the incredible $41,000 donation to The McGrath Foundation.
