The PwC Pink Tiger Day 2015

Saturday, June 13th, saw the running of our 5th Annual Pink Tiger Day in support of The McGrath Foundation. A huge crowd of ladies gathered in our “Pink Marquee” and enjoyed sensational food, champagne, wine and entertainment throughout the day, while also watching our League team don the famous Pink Tiger jumpers for their game against CBC Fremantle.

The day raised a record $52,000, smashing our previous record of $31,000 set in 2014. The PwC Pink Tiger Day continues to be the largest single fundraiser for the McGrath Foundation by a community sporting club, Australia wide. Over the past 5 years the day has now raised more than $150,000!

Special Guest and McGrath Foundation ambassador, Adam Gilchrist had some terrific words to say at half time and happily engaged in a record number of “selfies” with all of the pink ladies! Sensational auctioneer, Tiny Holly, then cranked up the fundraising side of the day and the bidding for all auction items was enthusiastic and extremely generous. The evening rounded off with leading Perth band, The Fit Swimmers pumping out some brilliant tunes that had the dance floor packed.

Our major sponsor PwC have been integral in lifting the day to a new level, and it has been fantastic to have them involved this year. Special thanks to Fine Tune Fitness, who conducted their inaugural “Run for Breast Cancer Day” which raised over $7,000 with all proceeds being fed into Pink Tiger Day.

Thanks to all of our Corporate Sponsors, most who have been with us since day one: The Events Mill, Matisse Beach Club, Phoenix Insurance Brokers, Shakespeare Partners, SOCO Real Estate, Cottesloe Constructions, The Higham Family, Roadbend Jaguar, Habitat Finance Brokers, PTT WA, Fuller Fitness and Rhino Water Tanks.

Also thanks “Ros For Food” who donated all of the catering, and of course everyone who made a donation towards the auction and raffle, or provided their services for free on the day. (There is literally dozens of you!!).

The club would also like to thank all of the organizing committee and volunteers whose amazing efforts culminated in a sensational day and resulted in the incredible $52,000 donation to The McGrath Foundation.
