CURTIN WESLEY TIGERS

The Curtin Uni Wesley Amateur Football Club is one of the largest and most respected clubs in the Perth Football League. The club fields ten teams throughout the competition, including A-Grade Men's and Women's teams.  In total, we have five Senior Men's sides across all grades, two Men's Colts under-21 sides, along with two Women's sides and an Integrated team.

The PFL is a highly competitive league and is the strongest league in the Perth metropolitan area, outside of the WAFL competition. All matches are played on Saturdays, with League games commencing at 2.30pm, Reserves at 12.30pm, Colts at 10.45am and the Women's teams playing at 9:00am.

The club is based at South Oval, Curtin University where we have established our own extensive clubrooms, training and social facilities. The clubrooms have been recently upgraded and our ovals have newly installed floodlighting which allows us to play night games. We are a very professionally run club and do everything possible to provide the best playing conditions for all of our members, including physiotherapy support at all games and heavily subsidised physiotherapy treatment for all players throughout the year.

While many of our current and past players attended Curtin University or Wesley College, it doesn’t matter where you come from - all players are welcome down at the Curtin Wesley Tigers regardless of ability or background.

The club has a strong committee and an excellent group of coaches, led by our Club Coach, Craig White.  Craig returns to the Club after playing for the Tigers in 2016 and has an outstanding playing and coaching CV.  Craig played 190 games for South Fremantle in the WAFL, including two league premierships and was club captain and vice-captain during his time there.  Since finishing up at South Fremantle, he has also spent two years at Balmain Dockers as Captain/Coach and at Claremont for two years as an Assistant Coach for their WAFL league side.

Craig is a non-playing coach which allows him to focus 100% on his coaching role. He brings with him a wealth of football experience as both player and coach.  Craig found immediate success in his first year with the Tigers, leading our League and Reserves sides to undefeated seasons of 20-0 including the B-Grade & B-Reserves Premierships and returning the Club to A-Grade in 2020.  Craig led the League side to a minor premiership in 2020 and is looking for more succ

The club offers a terrific social atmosphere for all players, partners and friends to enjoy and also prides itself on being a strongly community focused club. The Annual Pink Tiger Ladies Day held at the club is not only a must attend event on the social calendar, but has raised over $350,000 in support of the McGrath Foundation since its inception. This makes the event the biggest individual fundraising event by a community club Australia wide in support of the charity.

We are also fortunate to have one of the strongest networks of past players and supporters in the amateur league, many of whom also sponsor our club. The combination of a large and committed playing membership together with our loyal past player and supporter base has allowed the Curtin Wesley Tigers to become one of the most successful and professionally run clubs in the league.

You can contact the club by calling our President, Jesse Wilson on 0406 759 996.
